    I've spent the afternoon working through the tutorial here: http://rtfm.modx.com/display/revolution20/Creating+a+Resource+Class and I've been clarifying stuff and adding screenshots as I fumbled through it...

    However, I'm unclear as to how I can make my custom resource classes disappear from the resource tree (like Articles does). What property affects this? Which class is it in?

    If you need some perspective, I'm trying to build something similar to the Articles container because I have one node on my tree that has TOO MANY RESOURCES -- it's sorta like a huge directory, so if we use the regular MODX tree, opening the parent folder will just about kill the manager because it tries to list 5k resources: it becomes really slow and very difficult to find anything. So my thought was to come up with a container with an A-Z type paginated menu so we can sensibly navigate all the records.

    Anyone have any pointers? Thanks!

      Ah... peeping the Articles code, I see these one in *articlescontainer.class.php* and *articles.class.php* :

      $this->set('show_in_tree',false);
      // And...
      $this->set('hide_children_in_tree',true);
