FormIt and checkboxes issues

Hello,
When using FormIt with checkboxes and a user submits a form without selecting a checkbox, you'll see its placeholder returned in the email instead of a blank value.
How can I fix that?

I have not tested this, but maybe something like this ?:

[[+fieldName:notempty=`[[+fieldName]]`]]

Thanks, I've found the answer in this post but using

[[+brochure:if=`[[+brochure]]`:eq=`1`:then=`Yes`:else=`No`]]
