Hey guys, I tried to post this in the Evo 0.9.6.3 forum but I cant as it's locked...

Anyone know if 0.9.6.3 works OK with PHP 5.3.17?

Also any known issues with Evo 0.9.6.3 and MySQL 5.1.65 ?

Appreciate any responses here as hosting solution is upgrading and not sure if this will adversley effect the MODx solution

    Cheers,

    dubbs

Independent of the hosting situation I would upgrade to Evo 1.0.8 as soon as possible for security reasons (see here).

Thanks ottogal - will look into that - but first want to check the hosting company upgrade is not going to knock over the 0.9.6.3 solution that is currently working

Can anyone tell if Evo 1.0.8 is working ok for sure with php 5.3.18, 5.3.20 and 5.3.30 ? I want to mention here that on some hosters you can choose php 5.2 or 5.3 depending on what your cms (Evo) needs. Unfortunately not all hosters offer this choice. I've had no problems with MODx 1.0.8 & PHP 5.3.3 on a Centos 6 serverQuote from: sitecms at Feb 13, 2013, 07:24 AM

Thanks bunk58 - Any ideas about 0.9.6.3 with PHP 5.3.17 though?

IIRC there are a couple of snippets in the standard install of MODx 0.9.6.3 that have functions that are deprecated in PHP 5.3 onwards and cause an error. They're not difficult to fix but as previously suggested upgrading to MODx 1.0.8 is a better course of action. You may find one or two other things break and need fixing, but overall at least you end up with an up to date setup.

OK thanks - will see what the upgrade does when it happens, I have a backup site incase of problems - then will look at upgrade to 1.0.8
