Uploading Images: We get the following error "Permission Denied"

How can I get permission for my user and others to upload photos via the tool bar?

I'm new to modx.
In access policy I see that I'm the Administrator. The policy shows everything checked (172 of 172). This includes "file_upload." None of our users can upload.

I'm in user group Administrator - Super User

That message may not be coming from MODX. It may be the server. Check the permissions and ownership of the directory they're uploading to.

The permissions are set for 755 for the assets and images folder. I will check on ownership. Thanks.

What directories for permission and owner?

The host says all files are owned by my user.

How can verbose error logging?

my host gave me the following error, from an attempt to upload a photo.

This isn't my area of expertise, but 200 is the code for a successful request. It doesn't look like an error message to me.

Do you see anything in the MODX error log around that time?
