I have a website running MODX 2.2.6 and Articles 1.6.3. After a moderator approves a comment on their blog the person who left the comment receives the usual email notification. Then they receive the approval email again and again. Sometime 5x a day, often months later. I am unable to discover a pattern.
The moderator is deleting the email with the approval link right after approving, they are not clicking it multiple times.
Has anyone else experienced this issue? Is their a way to disable comment approval emails entirely?

Sorry Vierkante, the only way I was able to make this stop was to go into the Articles script and find the code where the response was being sent and comment it out. This means I have not been able to update to newer versions of Articles.
I did not file a bug. I was hoping to find out more about why it was happening in this one environment but not others.
Ok, I see... I'm still trying to figure out what could have caused this. I did find out that the duplicate email notifications did not go out to just one person, but to several persons who had been subscribed to different threads. All the emails were sent at the same times. What could trigger this resending of emails? Could it be like some reset on the server or in the CMS or something that triggers this? Anyone can help us here a little?
