We used NewsPublisher a few times in the past and it is a great tool. So versatile that I wonder why it is still called "NewsPublisher" and not "FrontEndPublisher" or something;)))

Also, we could, again, not get NP work this time for reasons beyond us. It must have been the security, and as Modx security let us down, we needed to quickly have a new solution with its own built in security / login. So, one full day of code crunching with a few dev's solved our life.. and client wink

Ben Marte had a look at our code and he also found anomalies he could not explain and it was clear more time needed to figure out. We have more than 10 contexts with a lot of sites, not sure if that is causing the troubles or not ...

    Well.. to be continued wink

      Hi,

I've got a similar problem, only this time, it's a manager user (default admin account, SUDO checked) that can't view unpublished pages from the frontend. I was able to fix a session-related issue earlier by turning on the session.auto_start PHP.ini setting, but unfortunately, this didn't fix the above problem. Never had this issue before. I'm using MODX 2.2.6PL. Anyone know how a SUDO user can't seem to access an unpub'd resource?

@Tom like I said I don't think it's a permissions issue and more like a corruption issue due to the problems you had with the site, I would definitely rule out its a MODX permission issue.

You are saying NewsPublisher worked before, and now it isn't working?
            What errors does NewsPublisher give?

If the error is security related, then somebody has changed something...

This may or may not be related. As of MODX 2.2.6, the allow_tags_in_post System Setting is off by default. That can mess with NewsPublisher.
