I'm testing this out right now, but I noticed that randomly, my site's layout gets screwed up. Looking at Firebug, something is definitely touch the DOM to the point that the box layouts moving inside each other. Since I've got the Google Translate widget in the site design, I'm thinking this is causing the raucous with my page's DOM if the script is executed earlier than when the document's fully loaded. So I'm trying out this advice:
Ok, so it's not Google Translate. Turns out I had a content that was randomly cycling, was using raw text, and had a closing tag missing the ">" character.
