Hello,

i want to use newsletter in my mod'x website.

i have found two add-on's for newsletter DitsNews and TXNewsletters

i want some that type of functionally in mod'x newsletter. in my website suppose :-

a user have submit his name and email in newsletter,after that i want to send that detail's to admin email,which is i can send through formit, after that i want that value also will be store in the database or admin can also manage that from the manager (back nd). and also can send the email's to Suscribe user's..

Plz suggest me how can i have done this functionally in mod'x or have there any add-on available for this type of functionally ..?

You might also look at Subscribe, SubscribeMe, Notify, and EmailResource.

The first two will handle user registration. SubscribeMe allows for paid subscriptions, (but isn't being supported now).

EmailResource sends a resource as an email (not an attachment).

Notify sends a link to a resource on the site.

Is this EmailResource has a capability for scheduling an an email? which is i can set a specific date before it sends?

Thanx bob,u means to say that i have to manage that newsletter , by using the that four add on.

Subscribe, SubscribeMe, Notify, and EmailResource.

i have to create custom functionally with using these add on's .. right ?

Probably only use one or the other, either Subscribe or SubscribeMe. Subscribe works rather well, I haven't yet tried SubscribeMe. Notify and EmailResource also work similarly, you may want to try both to see which you like best.

I also kinda like GroupEletters, however I haven't got it working yet with user groups (haven't tried real hard either). One thing I do like it for is for single, or comma separated list emails, and for serving an external campaign email for browser viewing. Manually forwarding to a small group or single email, I run it in test mode and I can also personalize it right then and there if needed. I haven't tried a really long string of comma separated (I've only run maybe 20 at a time, at most), but it's worth a try I suppose.

It depends on what you mean. If you just want one User Group called Subscribers to send to and use your site's default template for the resources, there's isn't too much to configure except for styling the output.

I use Subscribe and Notify at the site in my sig. and it's pretty much the default install of both, except that I've set up my own tags for user interests -- which means altering one chunk and naming it in a snippet property.

Sorry, I don't use FormIt at all. I use Subscribe for user registration. It registers the user and sends an email to the user. When the user clicks on the link in the email, he or she is automatically activated.

FormIt does not register users, so to use FormIt, you'd have to write a custom snippet to do it.

You might be better off with the Register snippet. See the docs for the Login Package (which contains the Register and ConfirmRegister snippets. I think you'd have to send the email to the admin with a custom postHook on the Register snippet that you wrote yourself.

i want that i have two field's in form

Name and email.. when any user fill this detail's after that i want first store that all value's in table.. that's it ..

After that what i want ..? i want a access in mod's admin panel .. that i want i can select all user's which are stored in database.. after that i have two field's

Subject
Message

After full all detail's .. i can send my message to selected user's only ..


Right now what i have done in mod'x,i have create the form through formit and also can add value's in database.

So,that type of functionality i required in mod'x .. i don't want the register any user in my website as per u told me.. so can u tell me how can i manage that functionality in mod'x admin..

If i have to change formit add-on's then i can also change it ..! plz tell me in step's how can i manage it ..?

Simply just supposed i have a table in mod'x which create by me, in this table have three colurm's

ID --> name ---> Email..

Now i want the manage that table from the mod'x manager, just like that suppose we can create new menu in mod'x manager.. in this page i have one select box and two text area.

in my select box.. all user listing appear.
<option value="email">NAME</option>
in my first text area (SUBJECT)..
in my second text area (MESSAGE)..

at last SEND button

Now which user name i have select from the select drop down. after enter the subject or message .. when i am click on submit button. at that time that details will send on that user email..

Simply this functionality i want to manage in mod'x manager,So plz can u tell me how can i create this ..?
