In all honesty, I'm not entirely sure the nospam hidden blank field is enough in the first place. Last form that I attempted to secure, I used Rampart, nospam, math, and also a special type="text" value="" field hidden with css. One, or two, or all of them seem to work pretty well.
And maybe :blank doesn't have to be there. Your form also redirected without it.

Oh, absolutely overkill. Unfortunately since the form owner is not a paying client and I simply needed the spam to stop, I threw everything at it and haven't had the time to go back and debug which are working and which are redundant. Having used just the nospam that you're attempting to implement here a number of times alone has not proven to be competent.
I like the math snippet, it implements easy and is simple to solve for users, but I haven't used it alone yet to test. The css hidden text input is slick and novel, although it also assumes all spammers are bots. I'm still not 100% sure how Rampart works yet...
I do have enough sites on nospam alone that I could in theory test each separately, which should take a couple months of box watching to know. Yeah, I should do that.
That's interesting that it doesn't work for you. When I omitted the :blank, the redirect worked, although the load time to the redirect page was quite a bit slower.
