    Articles still remains a robust addon for blog purposes. Sometimes building one's own blog is just ..."argghh I have no time!"
    So I continue to use Articles. But the major problem for me now is preventing Clear Cache on Save. I edit a tiny thing in the article, and I don't want to clear the entire Cache...

    Has anybody got this solved. Unless I am certifiedly stupid, I haven't found the little check box.
    Perhaps it is a bug or feature? When solved then we could use CacheMaster on Articles...

    Can MIGX handle this for sure?

    Thanks people.

      Are you sure CacheMaster doesn't work for this? I haven't tested it, but it might clear that checkbox even if it isn't showing.

        I crosschecked ..the checkbox is cleared for all other resources; as for Articles, apparently not, because the cache is completely cleared.
        Maybe disabling "Clear Cache on Save" site-wide might help? - is this possible, I remember there was talk on it somewhere?
        I wonder whether CacheMaster will then know to refresh the cache of Article resources, hmm...

          When the checkbox is checked, CM just calls MODX's $cacheManager->refreshCache(), so it should refresh Articles as well.

          BTW, if you do a "View source" on an Articles edit page, do you see anything that might be the empty cache checkbox?

          Look for syncsite or clearcache.

            Yes, syncsite is present in the viewsource of the Articles edit page

            I checked the articlescontainer.class.php and article.class.php within the core/components/articles/model/articles/
            A lot of calls "clearcache, true" etc.

              You're right -- and none of them are in conditionals, so I guess we're SOL on that one unless there's a way to reverse it in a plugin (doubtful).

                Thanks very much for even looking into this issue, I appreciate it. I just hope this is not a dead end for Articles.

                  You could always make the change to Articles and submit a pull request. wink

                    Hi, CacheMaster is excelent plugin I was searching for...
                    I works for resource created under manager, but what if I create new resource in front-end and have this code in upload snippet:
                    $modx->cacheManager->refresh();

                    I want to refresh only resource that is newly created not a whole site...

                      The new resource isn't in the cache yet, so there's no reason to clear it for that resource. You may need to call this if you want to make MODX aware that the resource exists right away:

                      $modx->reloadContext('web');
