i have problems with white screen once in a while (2.2.5), so in the config I wrote: $config_options = array ( 'use_flock' => false );
but i still have problems, when i clear my cache the site appears how it should again, so i assume its cache
in my log i dont see any errors and i have another site running on that server modx 2.0.8 with flock problems also
but the solution for that was coded into a core script, pdo class if I remember correctly
that works fine
is there a way how I can test this
I'm hosting at Networking4all, dutch, used to be a great service
i know that godaddy has problems with it, opengeek told me earlier
when i test the function via php it says it can use flock
so for now since $config_options = array ( 'use_flock' => false ); didnt work i disabled all caching
now im looking for a new hosting company, cant use modx cloud, but i want to know how i can be sure that i never get a white screen again
want to use xs4all
xs4all says: hosting company says: flock() does not lock files over NFS. Use fcntl(2) instead: that does work over NFS, given a sufficiently recent version of Linux and a server which supports locking.
