Background: Receive this message: One or more configuration details didn’t check out OK:
Configuration warning: ’register_globals is set to ON in your php.ini configuration file’
Don’t have access to php.ini configuration file.
Action: Updated .htaccess to php_flag register_globals Off.
Result: When I do so, .htaccess file makes configuration tab (
site->home->configuration) disappear.
Anyone know what the deal is? This must be common as I’m sure most people are using a web hosting service. Should this happen or should the configuration tab just not display an error?

UPDATE: Using new host and no longer have the issue.
