After reload site not working - 1.0.3

HELP! My site got hacked and the hosts requested I remove all files and reload it once they'd seen it was all clear. So I did but now the front page stops without loading and the login page works but when I go into the back end there is no styling and I can't access much. I've tried reloading the same version and all manner of things but still no joy. Looking at the database in phpMyAdmin it all seems to be there but something isn't quite right :-( Any ideas would be SO much appreciated as I've been tearing my hair out for a few hours now!
Have attached a screenshot of the back end and the home page says:

ERROR: Too many forward attempts!

The request could not be completed due to too many unsuccessful forward attempts.

Sorry I can't be of much use, but I would try upgrading it to the latest version as it might restore whatever is missing.

It sounds like your install may be corrupt and/or there is an issue with your htaccess. How are you attempting to clean up your site? If the site was compromised you do need to review everything to ensure any backdoors are sealed.

If you need help cleaning things up feel free to ask. The recent exploits have me in great practice cleaning up compromised evo sites sadly.

Thanks for the post. I did try the latest install and tried it with revolution and tried to move the database across to that .. will keep looking!

Hi; thanks for the advice. I've tried fresh installs so not sure why they won't work but I will have a look at the htaccess file. The files were obvious I thought as they were all on one date so just deleted them off the server and then reinstalled but maybe I missed something; these hackers get everywhere :-(

when i look at your screendump, on backend, just click save will get the backend fixed. clear cache and I think you're ok

thanks for the post. in the end i fixed it by disabling the quick manager plugin and installing the latest version of the modx evolution. no idea why the quick manager should cause such problems but it did and all fine now. phew!

Ok, another very serious reason to have a working local copy for each of my sites. I remember there were 2 or 3 more reasons not so long ago posted in the forum. I´m gonna find them again and make a list. Also this makes me think of keeping not hackable files in just one folder in the site tree. Doing so you only have to upload folders with hackable files. Will be a great time saver in case of re-uploading a site.
