How to make phpThumbOf for Evo working with PHP 5.4?

Hello,
Can anybody advise on how to make phpThumbOf for Evo working with PHP 5.4?
I know it works fine with Revo and latest PHP... or what is the alternative solution?

I'm not 100% sure it works. I don't think I'm not sure I have sites on php 5.4+

Sorry, took me a while to respond.
1) Upgraded Evo 1.05 to 1.09 - worked like a charm; runs just fine on my PHP 5.3 server.
The only issue - I "lost" all image thumbs generated by phpThumbof

2) Installed http://modx.com/extras/package/phpthumbpackage0.3.2 as suggested by fourroses666
All workes perfectly well, my auto-resized thumbs are back

how were you able to get phpthumb to work? I installed in my 1.0.8 install of Evo and can't get it to work. I have posted the issue here:
