News and testimonials

Hello i am newper in MODx .. i want to show the latest first three news and testimonials at right side of my website.. so can some one tell me how can i manage this part form front-nd to back-nd..?

And also plz tell me how can i manage that with "getResources" ..? i already have installed the pack of "getResources"..

You could also use MIGX for this, might be easier.

I means to say from the back-nd ..? how can i enter the news details ..? like headning,sub-heading,posted date etc etc ..? and how can i get those first three latest details in front-nd ..??

I have a three menu in my webste

HOME|ABOUT US|NEWS

At Home page in the right side --> i want to listing of my latest news with the limit of 3 .. exmple :-

"News Heading"
"News Discription"
"read more"

Like this after that at the following of the news--> i want to show the link with the name of "view all" .. after the click on that link i want to redirect on NEWS page --> where are listing of the my all news ...

This is very simple task for the older MODX person .. Plz give me some trick's or idea's .. that how can i manage this ..?

You want something like this (replace ## with the ID of the parent folder that holds the news stories). Put this tag in the template where you want the output to appear:




Create a chunk called MyNewsChunk that looks something like this:

In your template where i want to show the news listing ..in this code u have write the parents..

i did nt undestand exectly ..? u means to say firt of all i have to creat new parent page document file form the resources..? right after that that page id is my parent id for "MyNewsChunk" ..? right..?

after that which child page document i have created ..? that content will display under the my parent page ..? right
