Hi All,
So I have a modX website and it's working almost perfect. Now I want to customize the Access controls. When I go to 'Access controls > Access policies > Content Editor' and make a change, I checkmark 'about', then hit save everything looks normal. But in reality nothing saved. When I close this menu and get back in 'about' is not checked.
So i checked my console and saw and error when I check an policy (about for instance) and when I hit save another error came up. Now I've tried to work in other browsers but it's the same problem. The errors are attached.
I'm not an expert modX user, just started.
I hope you guys can help me out.

Try turning off the compress_js and compress_css System Settings and clearing your browser cache and cookies.
Sorry, I missed something in your post. I'm pretty sure the Policy for the ContentEditor group doesn't include the access_permissions permission. If it did, any Content Editor could make him or herself a Super User and lock out the main admin.
The best solution is to log in as the admin Super User to make those changes.
I'm the main admin. If I repoduce the steps that I wrote in my post I'm getting the error. Did make a new super admin and tried safari for browser but still it doesn't save.
Duh, I read it right the first time.
You could have a missing or corrupted file in your install, especially if you transferred the files individually with FTP.
Another (less likely) possibility is a mismatch between the date/timezone System Setting and the other settings for that value (server, MySQL, etc.).
Even less likely would be a problem with mod_security.
Hmm. I did copy all files trough ftp.

There's information on a better method here:
http://bobsguides.com/modx-upgrade-faq.html. It's for upgrades, but the method of transferring files works for new installs as well.
