Hi,
I want to hide single resources from users within the user group "editors". To manage this I followed the description in Bob's MODX guide (p. 454 ff). So far I could hide the home page from the users within the editor group. I also want the editors to see the container page but without being able to modify it. My problem: the editor should be still able to modify its children.
Here's (a part) of the site structure:
home
container (unpublished, no content, view only for editors)
- sub container 1: with content, view only for editors
resource: editor should be able to edit, delete, save it and create new resources in this container (if possible)
resource: [see above]
- sub container 2: with content, view only for editors
Sorry, I'm not yet very familiar with the Revo permissions.
Thanks!

You could just give them access to the container but check the "Lock for editing" checkbox when editing the container page.

Mmmh, ok. I expected the solution to be simple but not THAT simple. Almost embarrassing ;-) Thanks!
btw: Bob, thank you for all the support here in this forum! Your book is awesome.
I know that elements have a "lock for editing" checkbox, I didn't know that resources had one.

I couldn't find this option either, but I created a resource group which I gave coincidentally a similar name. While looking for that checkbox I discovered the checkbox for my resource group which I created for the locked resources. I checked the checkbox and it worked. Now the editors can only view the container but are still able to edit and save its children.

Maybe they never did.
I never use that function so I could be mistaken.
