Have you just installed handyman, what versions of handyman and MODX are you running, server environment ?
The more info you give the quicker the solution.
Just installed latest version of Handyman via Package Management. Latest version of ModX Rev (2.2.0-pl, as stated)... not sure what you mean by server environment (merely a designer and web tinkerer, i'm afraid). Thanks
Latest version of MODX is not 2.2.0 so it might be worth updating to the latest version and see if that works, however that said if it doesn't its not that urgent if its not brought the site down ( see that's something you haven't mentioned ;-) ) as handyman is for mobile devices ( can you still access the manager via a computer ? )
Server environment is what version of PHP, MySql etc, who hosts the site. As I've said the more info you can give the sooner we can resolve this.
Sorry, botched the version. I do have ModX 2.2.6-pl (latest, I believe).

Generally speaking a 505 error points to an issue with the server. If you look at
http://100pulse.com/http-statuscode/505.jsp they offer upgrading the web server (apache) as the only solution. You are already using the latest version for that branch, so it eliminates a few potential problems.
My suggestion would be to switch to PHP 5.3.x if possible (I'm surprised 5.2.x is still being offered), and if the problem persists contact your provider for support. The may also be using some form of limiting system that is interfering with normal operations (CloudLinux for example).
