Build a business directory with modx?

Are there any Ideas if I want build a business directory with Modx.

Just a free SEO friendly directory, and users could submit the website in the front end.

Thanks

Yes you can, but I think that you would be better off keeping the directory listings in the db directly rather than through modx documents. The reason being to reduce overhead. So you would use modx to administer the content parts of the site and then create a snippet/module to administrate the directory entries. Since snippets are php code creating snippets is a breeze.

are there any suggestion if there are some existing snippets.

Or if I am trying to use Astanda Directory Project (ADP) what could be the best way to do a Integration with modx.

Many Thanks

Has this ever got any further. I’m looking to build a directory that will allow users to login themselves and upadate their listings. They also need to be able to purchase an enhanced listing.

I cannot code php so am limited to using existing code and snippets. Can this be done?

I would try WebloginPE if it fits your needs. But without any custom coding I still think there will be trouble to categorize your listings.
