    Hi guys

There exist any plugin to manage property bookings?
I want something similar to this -http://www.villaholidaycentre.co.uk/index.php?option=com_jomres&Itemid=37&task=viewproperty&property_uid=32" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"> http://www.villaholidaycentre.co.uk/index.php?option=com_jomres&Itemid=37&task=viewproperty&property_uid=32- where each property will have his own calendar with the booked and available days. If don´t exist any plugin, ho can i do this?

    Many thanks in advance

I presume each property is represented by a resource? Use MIGx for the event/booking calendar. Use date-type TVs as the "helper" embedded TVs, and a checkbox "helper" TV to take care of free/booked for each timeslot.

Not really. I pretty much base everything I use it for (and I use it for any kind of variable-length set of values for a resource) on the main rtfm example here http://rtfm.modx.com/display/ADDON/MIGX.Backend-Usage and just adjust the input section and the grid display section to my needs. This uses a RichText TV and an image TV; I have used textarea TVs, date/time TVs, and even other MIGx TVs with just minor adjustments to the copy/paste of the basic demo.

Your MIGx TV would need to have a date/time TV (for setting a time slot) and a checkbox TV (for indicating if this time slot is free or empty).

Of course, this is only one way of doing what you need, and it may not suit your needs exactly. It's just my first thought on the subject.

I see your idea!!! But and the calendar? How can i use a calendar based in this idea? Do i have to build month by month?

Hm. I see your point. I guess that wasn't such a good idea. There are a few actual calendar packages that you might be able to adapt. http://modx.com/extras/browse/?search=calendar

I could be wrong but there are no "booking" add-ons I'm aware of. Also Susan would have said so if there was.

Based on your link I'm not sure any of the current calendar add-ons are going to be your best solution here. My first thought is something more custom built like Susan was hinting at.

Question for you Susan: (Probably a stupid one but I'm not scared to ask them laugh):
Is there a way to have a TV create a resource? That's probably not possible but just curious. Because then you could have a checkbox to create it and a date/time TV to pick it's date.

legues: Can you give some more details of your requirements, Like:
What sort of "blocks" of time for reservations are needed at the locations? Do you need the ability to schedule more than one per day, like on an hourly basis? Are they longer term like the shared link where it has 1 week blocks? Do they need to be varying per site?

Post back some more info and we'll try and help you figure out the logic. Susan is a master of this.

To answer your question, sort of...

                  http://rtfm.modx.com/display/ADDON/MIGXdb.Manage+Child-Resources+in+a+grid-TV+with+help+of+MIGXdb

                  http://rtfm.modx.com/display/ADDON/MIGXdb.Manage+Events-Resources+in+a+CMP+with+help+of+MIGXdb

This works something like Articles without all the built-in bells and whistles. One is a TV, the other is a CMP.

Those are great links. I haven't used anything that advanced yet, but will note them.

I'm interested to see what legues comes back with for requirements.

As am I. I guess I'm unclear why something like MXCalendar2 wouldn't meet the need as it supports multiple calenders and categories *unless* the creation of the bookings needs to be done in the front end by users which could be handled by contexts and login etc. Maybe not a shrink-wrapped deal but I think it could work. Also the author Charles may consider minor enhancements if he's duly motivated.

I must be honest the link posted was a little difficult to get at. Maybe try tinyurl.com to make it easier to use.

I did also do a quick search on "Bookings" in the forum and found a few discussions with ideas including http://tinyurl.com/asnv924 (which btw sotwell is on though it was a few years ago) referencing an Ajax Availability Calendar. I hope it helps.
