    Revo 2.2.6 Advanced

    First a small prayer...
    Please God let this not be another stupid question for something simple my tired brain from a long day is overlooking.
    Further let the many MODx Saints have patience and pity if said question is as stupid as I think it may be. Amen...

    Onto the problem: I have EventsCalendar2 installed and working great on several sites including the site with the current issue. After I changed the site over to an Advanced instal is when the problem showed up. I have read every single post in the forums on EV2 and re-re-checked the docs to no avail.

    My calendar shows up fine in the two locations I have it and seems to access the Resources fine because the dates with event Resources are highlighted. But when I click a day with an event nothing happens. I get my pointer change on hover, then nothing.

    I have cleared cache manually, reinstalled the add-on, reinstalled modx. Still nothing.

    When I check the page source my <a> tag is there and the link is correct to the resource on the corresponding date. When I follow the link in the source my event page shows up with colors.

    So here is maybe where I screwed up. When I installed Advanced I did it on a clean slate so I could make sure I was doing it right from scratch. I opted not to port over from Traditional. After I had the Advanced install up and running how I wanted I brought over my assets excluding the components. I uploaded the database and then went through my packages and uninstalled and removed every single one. I then re-downloaded and reinstalled each and made sure all the pieces were in place. I can only think I screwed something up by doing this but since the link is evident in the source it doesn't seem like a database/table issue.

    Anyone have any ideas on this? Could really use some help.

    Thanks,
    Eric

      OK so finally got to the bottom of this issue and my prayers were answered!

      In case anyone else runs into this problem here is the solution:

      The EV2 add-on was written using a deprecated method of .live(). The new method is .on(). I personally use a link to the most current version of jQuery and tried reverting to the last stable version prior to 1.7 where the .live() method was done away with, without success. Even using a dual jQuery listing did not work..

      Fortunately the add-on developer got in on this issue and had me fix the current code in the eventscalendar2.js file so it works with the current versions of jQuery. Here is that fix:

      Replace the last 2 functions of the eventscalendar2.js file to this:

      $(document).on('mouseenter','#Calendar .isevent', function() {
          id = this.id;
          $('#' + id + ' .event').show();
      })
      $(document).on('mouseleave','#Calendar .isevent', function() {
          id = this.id;
          $('#' + id + ' .event').hide();
      })

      This will of course revert back to the older version if you upgrade/reinstall the EV2 extra. I have put in a request with the developer to have him update this code in a new version of EventsCalendar2.
