So I'm trying to see if there's any other plugins or options with MODX to handle image uploads whether it be through T.V.'s or through TinyMCE. Here's the challenge: when a user clicks to add an image through a T.V., there's several steps they have to go through to upload an image. When trying to upload an image through TinyMCE, there's about 4 or 5 steps before they can even upload the image which gets a bit confusing for some of my clients. I know with Wordpress they amazing native image handling built in, but I'm trying to find something a bit more user friendly to provide for my clients.

Have you looked at Media Sources?

Point your image users directly to the source you desire, base it on user groups.

Yup...have used Media Sources which is really critical when setting up a site for a client. My concern is not so much directing people to the right directory on the server, but more with the actual interface. Just looking for something that is a bit more user friendly.

By the way, found this:

It was nearly perfect for what I wanted except it doesn't allow the user to see what files they've uploaded. If there was just that one component in this plugin, that'd be about perfect.

There is also the FileUpload snippet.

Hey Bob,
Thanks for the response. I see it here:

So this is for use on the front end, correct? My hope was to find something much easier for image TV's in the Manager. Currently there's like 6 steps to get an image uploaded which is a bit much IMO.

Yes, it's a front-end extra. I don't know of anything for the Manager. You might look at migx. I'm not sure what it's upload interface is like but it might be better.
