I’ve saved one document in the default installation, but then I was unable to edit/update it.
Now I can’t save any any more new documents.

I’m not trying to do anything fancy, I just don’t seem to have the basics sorted.
I’m unsure if it’s me, or the basic installation.

I’ve searched the forums, but can’t find the appropriate remedy
I’d appreciate any help to get me going, advice or pointers to advice

    many thanks

      Update:
The problem seems to be intermittent saving,
sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn’t
I can’t see what I’m doing differently each time.

      Any clues, help appreciated!

I just can’t get going otherwise!

I have noticed that the save button sometimes fails and needs a second click to get it to take. I notice this when updating pages. My guess is that it is a javascript issue.

Also I have found a few processes that fool me into thinking it was saved but actually it was doing something else. It takes a little getting used to.

That’s interesting because I’ve never had that happen in all my editing of MODx pages (with FCK) but I often experience the opposite.

I’m often asked if I’m sure I want to navigate away from a page that I’ve saved but haven’t changed. It usually happens when I click on the "source" button in FCK but don’t change anything.

Rob, I have had that same issue as you describe as well, sometimes the html view will simply not get saved. The problem I posted previously was regarding the manager section updating pages.
