    Hello there,

I have been using modx for saludymedicinas.com.mx, it works ok, but i have a google search "utility" in my site(right side of the page) that is showing me bad results(here in my site and in google.com).

The problem is that all of my titles has the - SyM phrase appended to the end of the title tag. when i search for the word salud , my title tag appends - Sym alone, or - SyM - Salud y Medicinas which its wrong, - SyM is the only word that should be attached at the end of the title tag not both, nor salud y Medicinas,

When i check the source code in my page, it looks ok, but google is showing me different results.

Can someone tell me why is that happening?

try to search salud y diabetes, and then salud only in http://www.saludymedicinas.com.mx/process/buscador.html then check the source code for the title tag and you can see that gogole is showing the wrong title in the search result.

    Thanks in advanced

Did you recently get rid of the Salud y Medicinas in the title tag, where Google hasn't reindexed it again yet?

indeed, but it was like 2 months ago, and i agree that google is reindexing all my pages(which are a lot of them =D)

but if i search for "salud y diabetes" there is a result page
(Exámenes para detectar diabetes, invaluable ayuda - SyM - Salud y ...)
that shows my actual SyM plus the changed "Salud y Medicinas" at the same time.

and if i search "diabetes" there is the same result page
(Exámenes para detectar diabetes, invaluable ayuda - SyM)
thats shows only my correct one - SyM.

the wierd thing is that both source code are showing the correct title "Exámenes para detectar diabetes, invaluable ayuda - SyM" but on google is displaying it diferently

        Thanks for your help Mark

Is it possible that google is apending that extra words in order to improve my results? which is wrong since all my code is ok, my title is ok too and i have keywords and descriptions for almost every page(we are doing SEO work=)...

I'd guess your site is just still getting reindexed, but I'm no SEO expert and have no idea how long that would take. You could try speeding it up by sending them an xml sitemap through the webmaster tools. I've heard of Google coming up with descriptions if you have none set, but not titles..
