Is there a 'List children' manager field/tab?

hi All,
I'm wondering is there something i can use show all the children of a given resource in the manager?
Very much like 'Articles' does. Sometimes a client has a resource that has a lot of children like a list of items, or a shop or what ever, more items the i'm comfortable with in the tree. In that case it would be nice to be turn all children off in the tree and make a paginated list of all children on the parent page. Like in my quick mockup.
I find it way to hard to build custom manager pages, so a plugin/addon would be very welcome

Does this allready exist as an Addon?

Tnx for the reply. I managed to get your MIGX solution working, and BTW did i allready compliment you for making MIGX. I find it AWSOME, or to say it like Darth Vader; 'Impressive....most impressive'.

There are however some things i would like to see different, mostly things to make the UX as pleasant as possible for my clients.
these would be nice, and are these possible in the MIGX solution?
- generate the grid without having to click the button 'Reload grid'. I just want it to be there like Articles has
- when selecting a page it opens in a special window. I would like it to open in the standard resource-editor window
- can the grid be placed in a separate tab (like in my mockup)?
