    Hi,

can somebody tell me how I can show a manager user only a part of the document tree? For example as a "own page" of a user. The user should only administrate his own folder.

Actually that’s quite easy, you first have to enable access permissions : Tools > Configuration > User and set Use access permissions to Yes.

Then Security > Manager Permissions : define a document group, then a user group and give access to the chosen document groups to the chosen user groups smiley

Beware that the current permission model doesn’t give you the possibility to give access to a document group to a single user, only user groups.

Ok, maybe it works, but all documents are in the tree. How can I hide the documents without permissions? Is it possible?

No, it won’t be in the tree if you have no permission to view them, method explained above... I use this often for clients.

And also no you can’t hide documents in the tree (at least to my knowledge) without setting permission (would that make sense ? how would you control who sees what ?).

I tested it as a test user and can’t edit foreign documents, but I see this documents in the tree.
Later I can check the permissions. Maybe the user is allowed to see the foreign documents...

I think I have to do some tests with the permissions to understand it well.
Thank’s so far and if I have a question again I will post it here wink

              It doesn’t work correct...
The test user see all documents and can’t edit anyone. Not the own and not the foreign.
The permissions I tried to set with the documentgroup and usergroup.

If I change the permissions in a own role for the user (create und edit documents) the user can edit ALL documents.

My bad, permission have been slightly altered with 0.9.6 : you can indeed see documents while you’re not able to edit them (at least it should be the case for containers, the idea was that users could be allowed to access a document in a container they are not allowed to access).
