Package management - Could not connect to provider

    Hi all

    I have encountered a problem that I believe has been an ongoing issue. One moment I was working along nicely with lovely MODX and then it all breaks sad

    [2013-01-14 20:11:56] (ERROR @ /modx-2.2.6-pl/connectors/workspace/packages-rest.php) Could not connect to provider at: http://rest.modx.com/extras/

    I have tried the modxcms.com/extras to no avail and port 80 is not being blocked. Please help!

      Do you have Skype installed? And, is this on localhost?

      Localhost and Skype don't mix, they both want port 80. Google "Skype Localhost port 80" for all the details.
