Twice now I have deployed a fresh MODX install to migrate and small Wordpress blog - about 300 posts. I've exported the workpress file. Opened the export file to ensure it contains post content. Imported from MODX articles. But no posts are there. There are no error messages in MODX. There are no errors in the php error log.

I've used articles several times now but never tried to import from Wordpress. I must be missing something simple.

    • MODX Version: 2.2.6-pl
    • PHP Version: 5.3.2
    • Database Version: MySQL 5.1.66
    • Articles Version: 1.6.3-pl
    • Installed MODX Add-ons: Nothing Unusual
    • Wordpress Version: 3.5

Did you use MySQL to inspect the MODx tables? Just want to make sure that the modx_site_content table really is empty...

        Thanks Everett.
Yes, the site content table really was missing the posts. It only had a couple of static pages I created.

But I think this was a file size post issue. When I uploaded the XML file and ran from the server it worked.

Very strange that I did not get an error message from either MODX or PHP about the file being too big. Just nothing.

        Consider this closed.
