Issues Migrating WordPress 3.4 db to Revo 2.2

After playing around with this script for a few more hours I seem to have gotten past all errors but posts/pages not being created in modx. I gave up for the time being.

However, I just went back to the original posts by devtrench: http://devtrench.com/posts/first-impressions-of-xpdo-wordpress-to-modx-migration-tool and successfully used those scripts to move over the resources. I don't get the comments or post-meta, but I didn't care too much about those things. I got the content moved over, which is what I was after.

That WP-Modx migration tool in GitHub is promising and I couldn't find anything else like it. Unfortunately it appears to be mostly abandoned and I (obviously) lack the skills to keep it updated.

FYI - If anyone else runs into this situation, I have discovered an even better solution. There is a WordPress plugin called Export to Text which allows you to pick and choose what to export as a text file. Editing in Excel will let you clean up any unwanted markup, reorder resources before import and generally modify anything you wish. I find it much easier than messing with the sql file. Save as CSV when done and use the ImportX component for csv import into Modx. Whatever works best for you, right?
