    Hello,

    I follow Bob Ray´s great book instructions how to move local MODX site to the remote hosting server. Everything went well MySQL dump and all other things except upgrade setup output following.

    Installation Summary
    Core installation was successful. Click next to complete the installation process.
(scroll to bottom)

Toggle Success Messages | Toggle Warnings
    • Config file successfully written.
    • Config file permissions successfully updated.
    • Error updating table for class modResource
Array
(
[0] => 42000
[1] => 1061
[2] => Duplicate key name 'cache_refresh_idx'
)

    Next button appears and upgrade installation went thru.

    Login works and everything in manager looks working fine. Problem is in the site, it´s still thinks that site is on localhost (no css or images including, only plain links and text). Site opened right and browser window address is correct, but links on the site shows localhost/site/news.html

    There is something wrong in Package Management too, when I try to uninstall wayfinder it gives following message.

    MODX could not download the file. You must enable allow_url_fopen, cURL or fsockopen to use remote transport packaging.

    I think this is another thing, but it would be nice to get it work too.

    Thank You,
    Tom

      Use the information here, and make sure to check/edit the config files shown about halfway down the page:
      http://rtfm.modx.com/display/revolution20/Moving+Your+Site+to+a+New+Server

      Your links are generated from MODX tags, correct?

      Do check the php.ini for all the requirements shown here:
      http://rtfm.modx.com/display/revolution20/Server+Requirements

      As well, check your supposed php version vs actual, and speak to your host regarding making sure it's working in the MODX install. A couple times I've set cURL and allow_url_fopen in the php.ini only to discover that it didn't take because the php version I intended to use wasn't applied recursively down into MODX. Your host should be able to help you with that.

        Thank You Frogabog.

        I double check my MODX site with your advise and now everything works fine.
        One reason I found is that using few different context (multi-language site) you must always remember to change Context Settings Value on Site URL (http://localhost/site to remote server) smiley

        Now there is new I think maybe a smaller problem with css. Everything works fine on main (web) context, but with language contexts not. Whole site uses one and same template and stylesheet path in template is
        <link rel="stylesheet" href="[[++site_url]]assets/templates/site/stylesheets/main.css">

        Thank You,
        Tom
