I just loaded Bob Ray's CacheClear plugin (snippet). I'm posting my experience for anyone else who needs to clear cache from /core/cache.
- After loading the plugin without reading the instructions, I went to the Site menu, saw Clear Cache, ran that, and saw that it didn't work. I concluded that Bob's plugin was not working. That's incorrect. That's not Bob's plugin.
- In order to know how to use the plugin, go to the package manager and click View Details. There you will see a reference to "Official Documentation: http://bobsguides.com/cacheclear-tutorial.html". That's not actually the right page due to a minor typo. Go here: http://bobsguides.com/cache-clear-tutorial.html
- That page says we need to view the CacheClear resource. The what? Oh look at that! There's a new CacheClear under resources.

- I changed the template on that resource and ran it, and sure enough it works as advertised.
- An unfortunate side effect is that it deletes the Error Logs. Be sure to get your logs if you want them, before running this. (It would be nice if this snippet copied out the logs, then did the clear, then copied the logs back.)
- Bob, in your page you have a minor typo, ClearCache vs CacheClear
Thanks for taking the time to write up the snippet, Bob. I usually have FileZilla and sometimes SSH up when I'm working on my site anyway, but for a production site that's not in active development mode and other tools aren't open, I think this plugin will be a welcome utility.
Loved ModX when I was using it a few years ago. Shifted to WordPress, sorry. Thanks, all.
Thanks. I've released a new version with the fix.
