Hi everyone.
When I preview my site, whether I am logged in or not, I have these "« Edit : ..." links all over the place wherever there is content. I have disabled the QuickEdit plugin, but they still appear. Please can someone tell me how to disable them? (I want to be able to validate my page, and I can’t when this feature is on.)
Thank you,
Paul
Won’t come up normally when you disabled this or logged off, so i guess its cache story!, Log-off, then try to clear your site & browser cache and validate!
We’ll I tried clearing my browser cache and that didn’t solve the problem. Then I logged back into the MODx manager and cleared the MODx cache. That didn’t fix the problem either. Then I rechecked the offending chunk and found that the content with the "<< Edit : ..." links attached was created by a [+# content+] rather than a [+content+]. I removed the # and now it works fine.
Could someone explain to me what the # does, or point me to the right place in the documentation?
Thanks,
Paul

The # causes QuickEdit to make a button on the page for editing that piece of content.
Strange. That feature appears to work even when the QuickEdit plugin is disabled.
