I've posted two descriptions on using SkyToaster's mail service in the Cloud forum, one on using their two free accounts that comes with domain registration, and another on using the Beta version of their regular email service for myself.

We do in fact offer reseller options, they just aren't publicly listed as we limit the servers used for that purpose. Our VPS servers are also reseller oriented, as we handle all of the heavy lifting for you.
Feel free to drop me an email
[email protected] with your needs and we can work something out.
Done!
I'd be more than happy to switch to a reseller account at SkyToaster. I'd much rather pay you than a large host anyway.
It deserves to be said, that I currently use Hostgator for my MODX sites, and I am not displeased with them in any way. They're the only host I've used that doesn't employ ghosts to do strange things to your php version or change server paths arbitrarily.

We regularly throw donuts over the datacenters to protect our servers against any ghosts

I assume they aren't Voodoo Donuts, they discovered that donuts don't do well on planes Voodoo or no... and as such, do not ship. (flat donuts!)
I've tried some of them there southern donuts... darn good fresh at 3am. And I really can't stand donuts.
I've had sites at Hostgator for nearly 3 years now, without complaint. It'll be a treat to have a host that knows MODX, but I've actually never really relied on Hostgator to solve any issues, nor expected them to. I think they helped with suPHP once... hmmm
As far as for configuration, I've never had a complaint. I would not say to stay away from them at all, and if you must choose a big name host to expect good service and competent MODX hosting at Hostgator.
That being said, I think I'm moving to SkyToaster in the next week or so :~}
Just a note - my client who registered his domain name through SkyToaster (actually hosted on the MODx Cloud) has his two free email accounts working beautifully, and my own beta email service is also working flawlessly. I won't hesitate to pay the $2 a month when it comes out of beta. I spend more than that a week on cheese, which I would certainly benefit from skipping at least one week out of the month!
I'm glad to hear your email is working flawlessly Susan! There should be a few developments on that "beta" front very very soon
