picture upload while creating a new resource not available

    Hi,

    i created a user with a group, role and his own media source and context (default_media_source for this context is set to the users media source). When this user creates a new resource he can not use the picture upload TV. Title and description of the TV is there but not the button to open the file manager. The new resource has to be saved first, then it is available. For me it seems the standard media source of a new/not yet saved resource is "filesystem" where this user has no access to and after it is saved it has the users media source because as admin i dont have this problem. Is this right or can i change this with a role setting? Changing system wide default_media_source is not an option because every user will have his own media source.

      TVs use the media source as specified on the Media Sources tab, when editing the TV.

      There's a way to reference the User ID in the media source path, and I think it's with the [[+modx.user.id]] placeholder but I'm not sure..

        Still searching for it but not sure why i need this.

        I created a context named "noa-context"
        I created a user which has only access to this context
        I created a media source named named "noa" with ID 2 and basePath /user/noa
        I added the media source to a picture upload TV
        I did set the standard_media_source for the new context to "2" (ID) so imo it should be clear for modx/TV which path to use when i create a new resource. If you can confirm that it's only clear after saving the resource i will open a redmine ticket.
