Forward sorry 4 my english tongue

I want to create new object (document) in MODx with some attributes.
For example, object is Car, and I’m using attributes (TVs): CarMaxSpeed, CarColor, CarName e.t.c

Question: How can i hide default attributes Title, long title, description, summary, document content e.t.c?
Is there any plugin that could switch to hidden TVs (including default TVs) of a template.

4 example, in result I need:
Plugin with choose of visible TVs list:
    Title Yes/No
    Long title Yes/No
    Description Yes/No
    Document’s alias Yes/No
    Link Attributes Yes/No
    Summary (introtext) Yes/No
    ...
    CarName Yes/No
    CarMaxSpeed Yes/No
    CarColor Yes/No

Ok ok, one question at a time wink

Fisrt, what do you mean by "hiding TV", in which context : are we talking hiding fields in the Manager ? Or in your templates/frontend ?

I suppose the former, and if so what you need is the ManagerManager plugin smiley

there is no need for manager plugin to hide tv’s for nonadmin managerusers.

          1. create a admin user group and doc group
          2. then select this group in tv creation at the bottom below:
          Access permissions
Select the document groups that are allowed to modify the content or value of this variable

          problem solved

Good point Dimmy, but it means only admins will be able to edit those and sometimes you’d rather not give that to any client or editor...

then assign that userg roup that you want also to that tv same as you would do with documents. then that user belonging to that docgroup edit the tv but someone that is not in that group could be able to edit the document or other tv’s (eg product information) he needs to edit but not the one that he does not need to (eg product prices).

              I use this alot

Well, and how i could hide default TVs like Title, Description, Alias, Template, e.t.c.?

I need users-managers could use only actual TVs.
4 example, if it is CarObject (document describing a Car), when user click "edit" in the node ’Toyota Corolla’ of MODx tree, he would see Only:
                    CarName: Toyota Corolla
                    CarColor: Red
                    CarMaxSpeed: 260 km/h

PageTitle,PageDescription and e.t.c - is only for Admins (SEO managers), not 4 a user/editor/manager - there is a Point! And I want to hide unuseful TVs 4 some users.

Think about using ManagerManager to rename the fields like Title, Long title, description and so on rather than hiding them and then creating new template variables. It makes less work for you and a slightly easier intmenus, this won’t work, but for simple text fields, you might find it easier.
