Answered Discuss: Javascript does not seem to work

    Hi, just installed Discuss.
    Great!

    One question though. Somehow the buttons (as seen in the edit/create post textarea) do not produce any bbcode.
    I also can not mark it as discussion or question and
    Title doesn't disappear when typing over it.

    Seems like a javascript problem?
    If i compare the resource-view of my page and the modx page is see that over here some extra js is loaded while on my own page not.

    Can anyone look into it?

      Try turning off the compress_js (and maybe compress_css) System Settings.

        Thanx for your answer Bobray, but those settings concern the manager, don't they? So this doesn't help (tested though).

        This issue i'm having is in the front end; while creating or editing a post on the forum.

        Comparing sources of forums.modx.com and my forum i see that the beneath code is loaded and not on my site. Might that be the problem?

          It sounds like it could be. I'm not familiar enough with the Discuss code to know for sure.

          You could try pasting those lines into your Template and see if that fixes it.

            I can confirm that putting the code

            in the file /public_html/core/components/discuss/themes/default/pages/wrapper.tpl just below
                <link href="[[+discuss.config.cssUrl]]redo/lib/gridset.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">


            makes it all work!

            PS can anyone move this to the discuss subforum?

              It kind of sounds like you have a corrupted download of Discuss (or have found a bug).
