That was one of my options, certainly. In this case, though, I'm building a jQuery.cycle-style carousel with side navigation. I could use getResources, but it would take two calls to build it, plus two templates. With a custom snippet I can do it in one. The only issue right now is that I have to pass &start=`[[*id]]` as a parameter, since the snippet calls to get the ID of the current document are consistently wrong on my setup.

You're not toying around with symlinks are you?

The snippet you posted a few posts back works perfect on my own 2.2.6 site. The only thing I can imagine is either a very weirdly botched site/database, or the parent resource you are loading (3) is a symlink to another resource (1)...

No, sorry - it's a regular old document resource, not a symlink. I upgraded from 2.2.5 to 2.2.6 in hopes of resolving this. I haven't tried a fresh install to see what happens there - the project in question is due today, so I'm trying to stay focused. Later, I will try to test it on a fresh site.

I agree with Mark. I'd try repairing all tables in PhpMyAdmin and deleting all files in the core/cache directory. If that doesn't work, take a close look at the modx_site_content table to see if the resources look like they should, though I can't imagine any circumstance where they would show up correctly in the tree and not return the proper children.

I am only finally moving to Revolution from Evolution and made a rookie PHP+MODX error. In another snippet on the page, I missed a comparison with an assignment, and I used the public property rather than the getter.
