Im a newbie. I brought up one of my pages containing videos and select the html editor. I make changes I need, press UPDATE, then at top SAVE. When I go back into html editor, it is NOT saved and is back to where it was before. I don't get any error messages. I am logged in as main admin with role of 9 and my other editing changes for other areas work, but not the html editor. Help??
    • What happens if you disable the Rich Text editor for that page altogether (in the resource's Settings tab)?

          • But other fields do save OK, just not the content field?

Is it the content box or a template variable?

Yes, just not the content fields.

                • Does anything else save in the content field, or is it just the specific changes you're trying to make that won't save?

I'm asking all of this because I'm strongly suspecting a server-side security setting preventing the POST of something that you are trying to save. For example, some mod_security settings will prevent POST of any content with iframe tags.

This is a problem that occurs regularly, couldn't find out what's causing it, but there's an easy workaround...and it doesn't matter if it's the standard content field or a richtext-tv, behaviour is the same, when you use the tinymce html editor it just won't save the changes. But you can just (after you made the change) klick into the richtext field, add a space or some other char, remove it (so basically interact with the richtext field) and then save...in my case then the results got saved (ah, and at the end maybe also click into another field, like longtitle or so, just to trigger that blur event, not sure about it, but I think that helped sometimes too...).
