Home Page Internal and External Links Selectively Working.

On my home page I have two external and two internal links that work in IE (9.0.8) but don't work in FF (17.0.1), Chrome (23.0.1271.97) or Safari (5.1.4).

All external links work on the other pages for all four browsers! I even copied a working link from another page to the home page to see if my code was at fault but once on the home page it failed to respond.

I am puzzled by this and can't work out if its a browser or Modx issue and my fiddling has proved unsuccessful. If any one can offer a useful explanation and a solution I would be grateful.

Can you post the HTML code of and internal an an external link that you're having trouble with?

The links are working... you just have a div that's literally covering the links, so, when you think you're clicking a link you're actually clicking an invisible div.

just add a clear:both to the maplayout class and you're golden.

Difficult to do this as I got the following when I logged on. Never seen this before and I am not able to complete a proper log in. I assume its not related to my "minor" issue. Will send html of links when I can get them.

It looks like you need to clear browser cache and reload. not all the required files are loading. if it persists, restart your local dns server (i.e. router)

Saw that, just clear your cache and you should be fine.

Browser and MODx just to be sure... you can FTP into core/cache, then just delete everything inside the cache folder.

Clearing browsers had no effect. Will clear core/cache files. There are about twenty directories do I delete the contents of each one?

everything inside the cache folder can be deleted, even the folders. MODx is smart and will recreate them as needed
