    Hey guys

Im in desperate need of help since my Modxsite just went crazy and now won’t let me do anything at all.
I get this error when trying to view or log into the site:

Parse error: parse error, unexpected $ in /var/www/html/ziestha/assets/cache/siteCache.idx.php on line 5348

I dont know much about modx or php so I really hope some of you guys can help me, I tried following these advices but can’t get anyone of them working:

You’re gonna have to provide some more details, but I can guarantee you that you have saved some kind of PHP syntax error into one of your snippets or plugins and it has corrupted the siteCache file as a result. You’ll likely have to edit that file, removing the code which is causing the error to be able to get logged back in. That source of that file should help you identify the source of the problem, which you’ll need to address immediately (i.e. delete or fix the snippet or plugin causing the problem) before saving anything else in the manager that would cause the siteCache to be regenerated - this includes saving changes to configuration, any document, or any template, snippet, chunk, plugin, module - i.e. just about anything.

Cheers OpenGeek, and thanks for the answer..

I solved the problem by installing a new modxcms site and then copy pasted the new siteCache.idx.php file into the old.. Maybe not the smartest way to do it, but it worked.. laugh
