Answered Username Disappears on some Member's Page

Hi there,

I've a strange issue going on with a site that I recently upgraded from 2.1.8 to 2.2.6 via 2.2.2, which makes use of Login and Personalize snippets, where when I log in the username disappears from three of the member's pages despite they are part of the same resource group for which users need to login.

Two of the three pages make use of Gallery, although I don't think that has anything to do with it, as the third has only content like the majority of the other pages.

The snippets in use include:

Personalize 3.4.0

I have two different chunks which display depending upon whether a user is guest or authorized:



This works fine on 5 of the 8 resources that are members only but for some reason the username disappears on the other three - sometimes its there and sometimes its not.

I've flushed permissions and I've cleared the cache.

I did have a TV which I had used originally before the Personalize snippet to select one chunk or another manually, but I have now removed this as I thought it was causing a conflict. I've cleared the cache manually as well.

This is a very odd problem, but one I would like to resolve.

There are no errors in the log which makes it even harder to pinpoint. The site was running without these issues until the upgrade.

Any suggestions please.

Can you show both of your chunks?

Try adding the &ph property, which sets the name of the placeholder for the username:

Add &fullName=`1` if you want the full name instead of the username.
