I need to move a value from one template variable to another for 800+ documents. Needless to say I’d rather automate this.
I need to transfer a unix date value from the built-in publish date field to a custom TV for all items in a (ditto managed) directory.
You should be able to apply the changes to document TV’s in mass via the DocManager module that is installed by default with MODx.
I really wish I could - I’ve checked the document manager "template variable" tab though I can’t see an option to transfer template variable values from one field to another on a per-document basis - only specify a new template value and apply that value to a range of documents en masse.
In any case the publication date doesn’t really count as a template variable :0 bugger
