I’m writing a snippet that deals with fsockopen runs commands on a "telnet" type server grabs results then passes them around to things
is its possible to cache dynamic "documents" on a timly basis or only once > making the cache searchable?

or does making a document that uses this snippet load the snippet when its searched? how does this work?

as i’m creating interfaces to radios most the information on the page doesn’t change except for the frequency or mode the radio is on so making cache’s of these pages then making that searchable would be nice or is this already possible? or how can i go about mocking this up with documents/chunks/ etc? thank you new to how the MODx system works... smiley i find it wounderful!

is it possible to make dynamic snippets in a cached document?
or is everything in the cached version of a document static?

If you make the snippet tags in this form:
        [!...!]

then the snippet is dynamic whether the page is cached or not.

          [!RadioController? &domain=`kg6ypi.getmyip.com` &port=`21686` &type=`SWL` &debug=`true`!]

          compared to

          [[RadioController? &domain=`kg6ypi.getmyip.com` &port=`21686` &type=`SWL` &debug=`true`]]
