I need help, modx works well for a while and then without warning i suddenly can't login.

I have constantly had the issue over the last 3 months where after a while of using MODX suddenly one day I just won't be able to login as administrator.

If I upload and override the files, delete and restore the backup of MySQL it works again. I thought that if I upgraded to the latest vers. 2.2.6 this problem might go away now I am back to square one.

I have tried all the possible solutions on the forum even using the API, I love MODX but am loosing faith in MODX very quickly
    • Never seen this happen. Need extra information to get your problem. How about your server and PHP version? Do you use domain, ip address or localhost for your MODx installation?

      • It also might be useful to look at server access logs for that time, as well as any Javascript errors. Have you tried to log in from a different browser or computer?

I so badly want this fixed but have no idea how to obtain any of these things you asking for...
          • If you install MODx on your local computer, you could find it on directory "apache/log/error.log" or something like that.

Otherwise, if you use hosting provider, you can find it on your cPanel or ask your hosting provider where you can find the error log.

            • Trying to log in with a different browser or from a different computer will tell us if this is a problem with your browser. Sometimes browser cookies or cache files get stuck in the browser.

Your browser has a Javascript error console, which will show any Javascript errors on the page in question.
