Hi there,
Currently i am using the Revo 2.2.5 & NewsPublisher with TV Dates
Each time a create a new resource and save using front end editor (NewsPublisher) the TV date has a given me the current date value if i don't fill up the date.
I did check my settings on TV date (If no value, use current date: NO).
Any idea how fix this problem?
Thank you in advance..
Sorry about the delay in answering.
I've duplicated this problem, but I can't find any place in NewsPublisher that sets the date if it's empty. The datepicker JS code is very complex and it may be happening there, but if so, I couldn't find it.
It may be a problem with the MODX resource/update processor, but I don't think so.
Thanks for your reply Bobray,
I know that we are both busy..
Of as for now If there is no solution... then my option is to change my TV date into text and type manually the date by the end user.
Regards..

Any time you create a resource it is automatically given the current date as its createdon and publishedon date. The TV could be picking this up somewhere.
On my observation,
When i try to edit the current resource on manager and remove all the current date and clear site cache it works fine. All the TV Date value was empty
But when i go back in the frond end editing all the TV date has a value of current date.
Yes, that's what I saw. It's most likely a problem with the DatePicker JS code, but I wasn't able to find it.
BTW, where did you see this setting you mentioned?
If no value, use current date: NO
The setting was on the Template Variable -->Output Options -->If no value, use current date: NO
