Making the manager more user friendly. Removing unwanted tabs/navigation items.

MODx News>Security Notices>Recent Resources>Info>Online

I don't want those tabs which are on the very first page of the manager to show up for my client (who has an editor user role btw). I much rather be able to have one tab with help information. Sort of like a table of contents or something I can create. Is this possible? If not, I'll settle for removing them completely.

I also would like to customize the Menu system at the top too. He doesn't need to access "Doc Manager, Reports, or Search", etc. Is this possible?

As far as the dashboard goes, you can either modify the existing one to have the "widgets" you want, or create new ones to display for different user groups. http://rtfm.modx.com/display/revolution20/Dashboards

Oops... sorry, I didn't notice that this is for Evo! Yes, for Evo ManagerManager is really great. It comes with excellent documentation in the plugins/managermanager/docs folder.

As far as dealing with the top menu in Evo, there is some control in the Role (which is quite different from roles in Revo), as well as the ability of some elements to be assigned to groups for access control.
