Maybe this should belong in the wish list but I thought I might just be missing the way to do it.

I have a subdirectory under assets that contains some .PDF files. I can understand why the MODx file manager won’t let me edit them, but I needed to rename one and couldn’t find a way to do it without going to CPanel.

Am I, as so often happens, missing something painfully obvious, or is there really no way to do this in the manager? tongue

I’m guessing they were uploaded by your FTP program, which gives them a different user/group ownership than your Apache/PHP user, and they therefore can’t be updated (or a permissions problem in general)?

No, they were uploaded through MODx using the FileUpload snippet.

I can rename them in the CPanel file manager, I just can’t find any way to rename them from inside the MODx Manager. Have I missed something?
