I just added Quip to a blog on a site and it seems to be working okay, except for one annoying thing. The system is supposed to send a notification to the site admin that there is a new comment awaiting approval. Unfortunately, it doesn't send it until the comment has been approved through the backend. At that point, the new comment notification does get sent, along with the confirmation to the comment poster. As you can imagine, that is a bit on the late side. Can anyone chime in here?

    My call looks like this:

    [[!QuipLatestComments? &tpl=`latestCommentTpl`]]
[[Quip? &thread=`blogpost[[*id]]` &threading=`0`]]
[[!QuipReply? &thread=`blogpost[[*id]]` &requireAuth=`0` &moderate=`1` ¬ifyEmails=`[email protected]`]]

The Quip tpl (latestCommentTpl) contains this:

        [[+body:ellipsis=`[[+bodyLimit]]`]]
by [[+name]]
[[+createdon:ago]]

Within System Settings, the admin email is set correctly for 'From Email', 'Reply-To Email' and 'To Email'.

    Using Quip version 2.3.1
    MODx Revo 2.2.0-pl2

    Thank you in advance.

BTW: this new forum web design is a lot better than the old one. Thanks for the change. [ed. note: waizen last edited this post 13 years, 10 months ago.]

      Update:

      1. Tried upgrading Quip to latest version... no improvement.
      2. Took out this line since it was resulting in duplicated comments on page:

      [[!QuipLatestComments? &tpl=`latestCommentTpl`]]
3. Changed:

      [[Quip? &thread=`blogpost[[*id]]` &threading=`0`]]

      to

      [[!Quip? &thread=`blogpost[[*id]]` &threading=`0`]]

      (added exclamation point)

...still no improvement. [ed. note: waizen last edited this post 13 years, 10 months ago.]
