Installing on MediaTemple gs

Hello Folks.

I just installed MODx on a MediaTemple gs - shared hosting. The install / core directory paths that the traditional web installer found/used starts with


where the last number is my username basically. Anyway, MT says not to use that path because it is not permanent and that I should instead use


I thought I would be given a chance to change that during the 'traditional' installation - which I did change when I mistakenly installed the dev version from git ;-) - but either I missed it, or it wasn't available.

SO, can I go in and manually change this anywhere? like the config.inc.php file? or would i be best served to reinstall assuming I just missed that setting during the install.

As far as i know, you can just set that in the config.inc.php file and you should be good.

Thanks thapriest86, I ended up changing the values in both config.core.php and core/config/config.inc.php and all seems to work fine so far

You might have to change it in the other config.core.php files - in the root, of course, and also in /manager and in /connectors/.
