MODX Browser only shows "Files" folder, no full listing of directory

    I have created a tv to insert an image into News items. However, in the MODX Browser (to select or upload an image), I can only see the "Files" folder. Not the normal list of all folders within assets/. "Files" is written with a capital "f", so it's not the files subfolder of assets.

    This also happens by the way if I try to use TinyMCE to insert an image directly into a page, not via a tv.

    Similarly, when I select the Files tab in the Manager (beside Resources and Elements), I only see the "Media" folder. Nothing else and no option to drill down into it.

    I have tried to create a Media Source leading to assets/images/ and assign this to my tv but no joy.

    Does anybody have any idea what might be causing this? Thanks!

      Sounds like either the wrong permissions or the wrong paths in your config.inc.php file.

        Seems to be a bug with 2.2.3!

        I tried to run vapor on this site to move it into cloud to see if I'd have the same issues here. Got an error pointing me to line 116 of core/model/modx/modfilehandler.class.php.

        Googling that, I found this bug report: http://tracker.modx.com/issues/8051

        Then followed instruction here: https://github.com/modxcms/revolution/commit/975675e604da58da8db011dd4ffb9ddf2a77ad39

        All sorted!!
